A heartbroken wife has paid tribute to her “perfect” husband who collapsed and died on Christmas Day.
Joshua Chapman, from Leeswood, near Mold, North Wales, was celebrating Christmas with his parents, Ann and John Chapman, when he tragically passed away.
Wife, Danielle Chapman, was at their home making dinner for her family when she received a call from her nephew to say Joshua had collapsed.
Despite desperate attempts by his family and paramedics to save him, he died at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital on Christmas day.
Doctors are now carrying out further tests to understand how the 30-year-old managing director of IT firm, NetResult, died so suddenly.
It means the family will have to delay his funeral for some weeks.
Paying tribute to her “soulmate”, the 31-year-old Co-op team leader told how her husband’s death will leave a “massive hole in everyone’s hearts”.
“I may have to come to terms with the fact that I may never find out why he died,” she said.
“He really was loved by everybody and it’s so difficult that all these coronavirus restrictions means everyone who loved him can’t pay their respects.
“I think everyone is still in utter shock.”
She added her husband “was one of the most genuine people you could ever meet.”
“He was the perfect guy – he was my soulmate, he understood me and I understood him completely,” Danielle said.
“He was an amazing husband, he would spoil me and would always buy me things and was always so supportive.
“He was just my best friend.”
Now, as a final tribute to Joshua, who Danielle says she “owes her life to”, she is hoping to organise a personal message or song to be played at his funeral from Noel or Liam Gallagher – having been a huge fan of Oasis.
“I know that Oasis is no more but I’m reaching out in the hope that something could be arranged for him,” Danielle said.
“It would mean the world really.
“He loved Oasis, I had a string quartet that played Whatever as I walked down the aisle on our wedding day.”
She added: “You hear people saying someone was the most kind and caring person on the planet, but he really didn’t have a bad bone in his body.
“I owe my life to Josh, I know had I not met him, I wouldn’t be here today.
“I’ve got to live my life for him, I owe it to him to do the things we couldn’t do.
“I just thank my lucky stars that he chose me because some people go a lifetime without sharing the love that we have.
“I need to keep his memory alive and make him proud.
“All his family loved him dearly and they are devastated.
“There is a gaping hole in all of our lives that will never be filled.”
