Fans of The Chase were left highly disappointed after Thursday evening’s instalment of the quiz show.
Bradley Walsh presented as contestants Aaron, Anne, Susan, and Joe geared up to take on the infamous Chasers – but viewers watched in horror as it all began to crumble.
Things took a turn for the worst when confident contestant Aaron decided to ‘ruin’ the chances of his team winning a potential prize pot worth thousands of pounds.
Aaron left viewers furious when he made the decision to accept the low offer during his round.
This meant that he was subsequently the only contestant left for the Final Chase.
Despite his good intentions, Aaron failed to put up a good fight and appeared to crumble under the pressure as he battled it out against the Sinnerman.
The Chaser didn’t make things easy for Aaron, and within a matter of seconds, he knocked off his score of 13 questions in rapid speed.
Ruthless viewers had very little sympathy for Aaron, who lost against the Chaser and flocked to Twitter to comment.
“They should have just ended the episode at the start because that was a complete waste of time,” fumed one viewer.
“Aaron you’ve spoilt The Chase tonight by taking the grand, now the whole nation wants you to lose,” a second agreed.
“Well, that was boring and shocking!” a third quipped.
Another remarked: “The nation erupts in utter Joy, low offer boys tactics have blown up in his face spectacularly, what a day to be alive #TheChase.”
Meanwhile, a fifth unhappy fan penned: “Agreed, the episode should have ended at the start. That was so embarrassing for him!”
The explosive episode comes after fans pointed out the new changes ITV has made to the studio since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak.
ITV bosses have erected a clear Perspex wall between all contestants to ensure everyone is kept safe.
Many revealed they found it hard to get used to, especially as Bradley is known and loved for hugging the contestants.
